Short trips, single tickets, day tickets

In Leipzig, a short trip ticket allows you to travel up to four stops without changing. This applies to the entire Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe bus, tram and rail network.

Taking something with you? A single ticket is valid for one person.

If you want to take a dog or a bicycle with you, please buy a special ticket (Extrakarte) in the appropriate price category.

A single ticket gives you one hour's travel in Leipzig. If you choose a ticket that's valid for another area, you can travel longer within the network. You can change bus, tram or train as often as you like within the validity period of your ticket.

If you need to travel for longer than the validity period of your ticket (zone), simply upgrade to the next higher price category.

For trips that are less frequent and less regular, we recommend the children's single ticket. These are for girls and boys up to the age of 14. If you don't want to buy a single ticket for every trip, it's best to buy a 4-ride ticket and save time.

The day ticket for children is the perfect choice if you or your children want to discover Leipzig for a whole day. They are valid for 24 hours depending on the chosen fare zone and for one child up to the age of 14.

In fare zone 110 (Leipzig) up to three children travel free with the 24-hour-card (Plus) for adults.

Whether you're travelling alone or with up to four other people, our day tickets (24-hour-card (Plus)) are the perfect choice if you want to do a lot of travelling in one day. They are valid for 24 hours in the MDV fare zones you choose. And you can change buses, trams and trains as often as you like.

Taking someone or something with you?

Depending on the day ticket you choose, you can take up to four people with you. You can also 'replace' a person with a dog. If you're travelling with a bicycle or another dog, simply buy a special ticket (Extrakarte) in the appropriate price category.

With a day ticket in fare zone 110 (Leipzig) you can take up to 3 children with you.

The weekly season ticket allows you to travel within the fare zones of your choice in Leipzig and the surrounding area on seven consecutive calendar days. Or, to be more precise, until 4:00 am on the eighth calendar day..

Our monthly ticket allows you to travel on buses, trams and trains for a whole month. Specifically, the monthly ticket is valid from the first day of validity until 4.00am on the same calendar day of the following month.

The monthly season ticket only is valid for one person.
